A budget app you text, in any currency.
One budget, whatever currency you spent it in.
Text what you spent. It's converted at the rate on the day you paid.
No separate budget per currency and no rate column in the spreadsheet. Type "groceries 52 euros" on Telegram or send a voice note, and it lands in your monthly budget in dollars, or whatever currency you budget in. Each spend keeps the rate it was made at, so last March doesn't change when the euro does.

Five accounts, three currencies, one question: what did we actually spend?
Your pay lands in one account. Rent leaves from another. Dinner goes on the card that earns flight points, and the joint account covers groceries.
Some of it's shared, some of it isn't. Dinner together comes out of the shared pot. The movie you saw alone on a Tuesday comes out of yours (no shame). Flying solo? Same mess, fewer arguments.
Adding it up isn't the hard part. Remembering is. The 60-baht coffee, the ATM cash, the dinner your partner covered: half of it never gets written down. So at the end of the month you can't say whether you stayed on budget, or where it all went. (For me it's eating out. No regrets.)
Before you buy, ask the bot "can we afford this?" It knows.

The real app, with an example couple. Together is what Alex and Sam share, and each has a budget of their own. The cash pile is ATM cash they haven't spent yet.
What it handles
The parts of living abroad a normal budget app gets wrong.
- Spend in one currency, budget in another
- Baht at the stall, a budget in dollars, a partner in euros. Each purchase converts at the rate for the day you paid, and keeps it.
- Split with your partner
- Shared costs go to a joint budget, with a running total of who owes who. Your partner can log from the dashboard, no Telegram needed.
- Catches what you forgot
- Upload a bank statement file on the dashboard. It skips what you already logged and adds what you missed.
- No bank login
- Nothing connects to your bank. It only sees what you text it and the statements you upload.
- Tracks your ATM cash
- ATM cash goes into a cash balance you spend from. The withdrawal isn't the expense. The street food is.
- Text it, say it, or snap the bill
- Type it how you'd say it, send a voice note, or send a photo of the bill. It works out the amount, the currency and the category, and reads the service charge off the bill so you don't have to.
- Ask before you buy
- "Can I afford an 1,800 baht dive trip?" It answers from what you've spent. "How much is left this month?" gets the total, by category, with days to go.
- Big payments, spread out
- A year of insurance or an annual subscription becomes twelve monthly slices, so the month it lands in stays on plan.

I built it for two people first.
I'm Chris. I live out of a suitcase, and the suitcase is currently in Southeast Asia. My partner and I manage our money in three currencies across five banks, plus the local currency wherever we are. We tried the spreadsheet. The spreadsheet lost.
So I built this. We use it every day ourselves, so when something breaks, I find out first and fix it. If your finances look like ours, it could be perfect for you too.

Questions
How do I log something?
Text the bot, like "coffee 85 thb" or "lunch 200 baht", send a voice note, or send a photo of the bill. It converts at that day's rate and files it under the right category.
Will the amount match my card statement?
Close, not exact. It uses the European Central Bank's rate for the day you spent it. For currencies the ECB doesn't publish, like VND or RSD, it uses a market rate. Your card adds its own rate and fees, so expect small differences. Upload your statement at the end of the month to catch charges you didn't log.
How does ATM cash work?
A withdrawal goes into a cash balance in that currency, and you spend from it. The withdrawal itself isn't counted as spending, but any ATM or bank fees are.
Can my partner and I use different currencies?
Yes. Each of you gets a personal budget in your own currency, plus an optional shared one with a running total of who owes who.
Does it work if I'm solo?
Yes. It's built for one person or a couple. A personal budget in your own currency works on its own, and sharing is optional.
Who sees my financial data?
Nobody but you, and your partner for the shared budget. Nothing connects to your bank, and we never sell or share your data. Export it any time, or email me and it's all deleted within 7 days. Details in the privacy notice.
Do I need Telegram?
No. The bot is the best part and it runs on Telegram for now, but everything also works from the dashboard in any browser: log what you spent, see what's left, and mark who's paid who back. WhatsApp is next. Line and Signal depend on who signs up, so tick the apps you use in the form and the most-picked one comes next.
Why not a Wise card, Splitwise or a spreadsheet?
A Wise or Revolut card shows what went through that card. Cash is one ATM withdrawal with nothing after it, and anything paid from another bank or in cash never shows up. Splitwise splits bills well, but it has no monthly budget. Its free plan allows 4 expenses a day, and currency conversion needs Pro. A spreadsheet can do all of this if every row gets its own exchange-rate lookup and somebody types it in at the street stall.
I already use a budget app. Why switch?
Most budget apps get the exchange rate wrong for someone who spends in several currencies. YNAB wants a separate plan per currency. Wallet keeps one rate per currency and updates it overnight. Cashew adds up old spends at today's rate. Here each spend keeps the rate for the day you paid, and you log it by text from the street stall. Upload a statement on the dashboard and this month's spending is added for you, so you don't start from zero.
Will it still exist next year?
We use it for our own money every day, so we'll keep it running. If that ever changes, you'll get an email first.
Can I get my data out?
Yes, it's yours. Export everything to CSV from the dashboard whenever you like. If I ever stop running it, you'll get your data before anything shuts down.
When can I use it?
I'm letting people in a few at a time, starting with the waitlist. You'll get an email when it's your turn.
